Currently, Cuc Phuong is home to over 2,700 individuals from 64 rare and endangered wildlife species, protected and rehabilitated under its signature conservation programs:
- 1Endangered Primate Rescue Center (EPRC)
- 2Carnivore and Pangolin Conservation Program (CPCP)
- 3Turtle Conservation Center (TCC)
- 4Additional programs for deer, pheasants, monkeys, and other native wildlife
Note: Visitors wishing to tour these conservation centers must be accompanied by a park guide.

Conservation Programs
Known as Vietnam's "Conservation Capital", Cuc Phuong National Park is currently considered a leading center for biodiversity research and conservation.

Endangered Primate Rescue Center (EPRC)
EPRC is the first center of its kind in Indochina and the largest primate rescue center in Vietnam. Its mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and conserve rare and endangered primates native to Vietnam, while conducting ecological research for future rewilding.
At the center, visitors can meet the critically endangered Delacour's langur, endemic to Vietnam, and the stunning Red-shanked Douc langur, dubbed the "Queen of Primates." Visitors are not only captivated by the beauty and playful behavior of the primates but also by the moving stories behind their rescue from illegal trafficking and the determined efforts by the Cuc Phuong staff to bring them back to health.
Fun fact: Each rescued primate has a unique name and story—meet "Ham," "Beo," "Mafia," or even "Ronaldo"—names affectionately given by the caretakers.

Conservation Activities
Get involved in our conservation efforts and make a difference for Vietnam's wildlife and natural heritage.

"Greening the Ancient Forest" Program
In response to the Prime Minister's initiative to plant 1 billion trees, Cuc Phuong National Park has launched a new tourism product called "Greening the Ancient Forest." This program invites visitors to join tree-planting activities, guided directly by scientists from the Center for Rescue, Conservation, and Creature Development.
Visitors receive expert advice on tree species and planting locations, and personally plant these "green buds"—symbolizing wishes for a greener future. Each tree is tagged with a personalized QR-coded nameplate displaying information about the tree species, planting date, and quantity. This data is uploaded to the Park's website, allowing participants to track their contribution online.

"Back to the Wild" Tour
Since 2021, Cuc Phuong has brought to life the model of conservation-based ecotourism through the "Back to the Wild" tour. This activity allows visitors to witness and participate in the release of rescued wild animals back into their natural habitat.
This moving experience not only fosters a deep love for nature but also inspires a responsible lifestyle toward the environment. Watching animals return to their home in the wild is a sacred moment—one that leaves a lasting impression on every guest. We hope each participant will become a "Conservation Ambassador," sharing the message of nature preservation with their families, friends, and communities.

The Revival Journey
"The Revival Journey" is a program that invites individuals and organizations to accompany Cuc Phuong in its efforts to care for wildlife in rescue centers and conservation programs. The goal is to encourage broader and more effective community involvement in animal care, rehabilitation, and the restoration of physical and psychological well-being.
This initiative is also a meaningful and sustainable environmental education product, aligning with Cuc Phuong's vision of becoming a premier "nature school" and living up to its title as Asia's Leading National Park.

Summer Camp: "Growing Up with the Great Forest"
"Growing Up with the Great Forest" is a summer camp designed for students from grades 5 to 9. The program aims to provide fun and educational nature-based experiences during the summer holiday.
Over one exciting week, campers will explore the forest, build friendships with nature, and learn essential life skills such as independence, teamwork, jungle survival, event planning, and basic cooking. The camp also includes cultural exchanges with the local Muong ethnic group and archaeological tours of prehistoric sites within Cuc Phuong.
